First introduced in 1979, the ScotRail Express transformed travel between Edinburgh and Glasgow Queen Street, using five Mark 3 Coaches and a specially converted Mark 2 DBSO Driving Trailer. Traction was provided by a dedicated fleet of Class 47/7 locomotives modified for push-pull operation.
The Electra set is available in the original BR Blue/Grey livery and the smart ScotRail livery, introduced in 1984.
